Patton's first art exhibit

5 minutes without supervision, 2 permanent markers, and the desire to express his life angst as a four year old.

Future art critics will recognize this as Patton's greatest achievement while in time out. Despite clear talent and impressive ability, Patton's art will not be fully appreciated due to the 2 hours of scrubbing it took to clean the walls.

8 months: Crawl Into the DANGER ZONE!!!

Max,

During the 14th week of my pregnancy I got the first hints of your desire to MOVE!GO!EXPLORE! I felt the first little flutters of movement, movement I wasn't supposed to be able to feel for a few more weeks. At our monthly check ups, the doctor had to chase you around to get your heart beat. Most of your ultrasound photos are a blur of motion. As a newborn you would thrust yourself forward wanting to be upright, refusing to be held and cradled.

After months of small stepping stones in motor development you have reached the biggest milestone yet...CRAWLING! Even though you are my second child, you are my first experience with crawling, and I am completely unprepared. You have taken off exploring into all new territory, boldly going where you've never gone before. You have given a whole new definition to my idea of baby proofing, because with you nothing is off limits. Computer cords and wall outlets are your destination of choice, stopping only to fill your mouth with scraps of paper you find on your journey. I'm afraid your first sentence will be "Shit,No! Take that out of your mouth" since it's the phrase you hear most often from me.

Congratulations dude. Crawling is awesome.
